I choose Melanie Martinez because I love her. I know that's not all you wanted to hear, don't worry. Why? I choose Melanie because she's unapologetically herself. She doesn't care what other people think and that inspired me to be who I am today. Unapologetically myself. She also expresses hard topics that no one ever talks about. I feel like I'm seen when I listen to her, Melanie makes me feel like it's okay to be sensitive and that it's okay to just FEEL! Not to mention she's a lyrical genius. Her songs are all childish titles with double meanings, it's really cool. I also just really love her aesthetic and thought she'd be fun to make a project about!
